Infrastructure Finance Specialists

Since 1970, DAI has worked in 150 developing and transition countries, providing comprehensive development solutions in areas including crisis mitigation and stability operations, democratic governance and public sector management, agriculture and agribusiness, private sector development and financial services, economics and trade, HIV/AIDS, avian influenza control, water and natural resources management, and energy and climate change. Clients include international development agencies, international lending institutions, private corporations and philanthropies, and host-country governments.
We are seeking experienced professionals with experience in the areas identified below for anticipated long-term overseas assignments in Indonesia on projects to be funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).
We anticipate that these projects will include components that focus on:
• Capital investment planning for improving basic services- especially working with local government and utilities on planning and prioritizing capital investments for system expansion and rehabilitation.
• Project financing - especially of municipal and utility infrastructure. Thus candidates should have had experience either developing or evaluating proposals for project financing for commercial banks or international financial institutions.
• Evaluating the credit worthiness of municipal governments and utilities and the projects funded by these organizations to improve basic public services in terms of financial feasibility and cost recovery.
• Mobilizing domestic capital in conjunction with public sector financing to finance the expansion /improvement of basic services in growing urban areas.
Qualifications:
University degree in business management, finance or law (related to mobilizing public financing)
• Minimum ten years professional experience in work related to utility capital planning and linking plans and investment priorities to broader utility objectives.
• Experience having worked in a developing country preferred.
