    (Democratic Governance-Africa)

    Through the Regional Centers in Dakar and Johannesburg, the Regional Bureau for Africa and the Bureau for Development Policy in UNDP are working to update and complete their expert rosters in the area of democratic governance in Africa. If you are a democratic governance policy and programme expert, you have worked in Africa before, and you have specific expertise in any or more of the fields below we would like to hear from you.

    • Public Administration Reform
    • Decentralisation and local governance
    • Access to information and e-governance
    • Electoral systems and processes
    • Parliamentary development and political parties
    • Justice and Human Rights
    • Anti-corruption
    • Governance Assessments

    Following an initial screening of all CVs received, UNDP will contact successful candidates for interviews and reference checks following which they may be considered for inclusion in the UNDP democratic governance expert roster for Africa. Interviews will be organized in May/June, and assignments may start as of 1 July 2010. Inclusion in the roster will be valid for an initial period of 2 years.

  3. Governance parece uma palavra nova e elegante, em inglês ou traduzida como governança ou governancia.

    Mas o conceito de "boa governação" é bem antigo.

    Na minha aldeia havia pouca gente muito rica ou muito pobre.
    Havia sim gente remediada e bem governada, e havia gente mal governada.

    Portugal é um país mal governado.
    Para os "mal governados" não há recursos ou apoios que aguentem, estoiram tudo.

    Por isso precisamos de uma vacina contra os abusos e imprudencias e de adoptar praticas e princípios bom governo.
