VI International Conference on Hispanic Linguistics. 

Variation and identity.  April 3, 4 & 5, 2017

The Department of General and Romance Linguistics (Faculty of Arts and Humanities, University of Lisbon), announces the VI International Conference on Hispanic Linguistics. Variation and identity, and invites scholars to take part in it. 
The aim of the conference is to offer a space to present and discuss works and researches on linguistic variation and its relation with the speakers' identities, from a historical perspective or from a geographical or sociolinguistic point of view. Abstracts will have a maximum of 500 words -excluding references- and they may focus on Spanish language, but also on all languages in contact with it around the Hispanic world.

Notification of acceptance: January 31st, 2017.
Linguistic subfieldsHistorical Linguistics, Lexicography, Lexicology, Linguistic Anthropology, Morphology, Phonetics, Phonology, Pragmatics, Romance Linguistics, Semantics, Syntax, Sociolinguistics, Spanish varieties.
Offical languages: English, Portuguese & Spanish.
